Garmin-nuvi-250w The Garmin nüvi 250W is the widescreen version of Garmin’s 250 model GPS. Like the smaller 250, the 250W comes with preloaded maps for the continental U.S., Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada and Alaska.While it is missing some of the more sophisticated features of higher-end nüvis, it does offer an excellent navigation experience with an easy-to-use bright color touchscreen, 6 million points of interest (POI), and an ultra-slim compact design.

Sometimes it takes a minute or 2 to acquire the satellites, but other than that has been great.”

“Some locations, such as restaurants which have been there for years, aren’t in the maps (even after the multiple downloads to upgrade).
Once and a while, it gives the wrong side of the road for a destination. :(
Losing satellite lock while driving, and never getting it back, is a hassle.
I’d give up the Canada map in exchange for a bit more details in the US. Ex. a “Park” can be just about any size (like a swing set at the public library), with no way to tell more details from the GPS itself. A little bit of detail regarding amenities would be nice.”;
